'Lifestyle office' concept blends work and everyday living
Shinsegae Property said Monday it will open a food and beverage space called Starlit Food Lounge on the lower floors of Starlit Seongsu N, a prime office building managed by Capstone Asset Management.
Starlit Seongsu N is an office building newly acquired by Capstone Asset Management. The retail facility, Starlit Food Lounge, will occupy the basement level and first floor, while floors three through 11 will serve as the headquarters of G-market, a Shinsegae Group affiliate. The building has a total floor area of approximately 29,700 square meters.
Shinsegae Property joined the project as a strategic investor, citing the location's strong potential. The company applied its Starlit brand name and concept to the space and drew on its retail planning and design capabilities to create the food lounge, positioning the building as a differentiated lifestyle office.
Starbucks and bakery cafe What a Bread will occupy the main lobby on the first floor. What a Bread, known for its "crocci" — a croissant-mochi hybrid — is set to open in November.
The basement level features an open food hall accessible directly from the street, with roughly 300 communal seats, a lounge area and a library-style space designed to flow naturally between dining, leisure and social gatherings. Eleven stores will operate in the food hall, offering new brands, local favorites and menus from various cuisines.
Key tenants include Seokchung by Hanmiok, a new concept from Hanmiok — known for its chadol gujeolpan and samhap — and Jeongjeon, a dim sum specialist. Bangchon Tteokbokki, a local favorite from Bangchon Market in Daegu, will serve tteokbokki and Daegu-style flat mandu, while Taepyeongyang Donkkaseu, launched by food and beverage company FG, will offer a reinterpretation of Seoul's Western-style dining culture from the 1970s and '80s. E-mart 24 will also open a convenience store in the building.
