Broadcaster Nam Chang-hee, 44, has announced that his wife is pregnant, eight months after the couple wed.
His agency, TN Entertainment, said Saturday that his wife is currently pregnant and focusing on prenatal care amid an outpouring of congratulations.
She is 23 weeks along and is due to give birth in February next year.
Nam married his longtime partner in February after a long courtship.
He first shared the news with listeners on Friday during his KBS Cool FM radio program "Yoon Jeong-su and Nam Chang-hee's Mister Radio."
Nam debuted in 2000 on SBS's "Gippeun Uri Toyoil," a Saturday variety show, and has since been active across drama series, entertainment programs and radio.
His wife, Yoon Young-kyung, won the Jeonbuk Chunhyang Beauty Pageant in 2013 and gained wider recognition the following year on MBC's variety show "Infinite Challenge," where she was nicknamed "the Han River IU." She went on to appear in the drama series "Splendid Politics" and the film "Ode to My Father," and most recently retired after working for about six years as an administrative officer at the Dongdaemun-gu district office in Seoul.
