Actor Byun Yeo-han drew attention after liking an apology post by Winner member Song Mino, who received a suspended sentence for violating the Military Service Act.

Song posted a handwritten apology on his Instagram on Friday, writing, "I bow my head in apology for causing so much concern to so many people because of me." He added, "I should have spoken up sooner, but I was too late — I am sorry for making you wait so long."

Song also said, "Above all, I am deeply sorry for disappointing the young people faithfully fulfilling their military duty, as well as the fans who have cherished me more than anyone. Every day has been filled with regret." He added, "I am ashamed of and despise the irresponsible choices I made in the past."

Song further pledged to "reflect on my foolish mistakes without avoiding them," saying he would "faithfully carry out the remaining procedures and obligations," and vowed to "keep this incident in my heart and live with a greater sense of responsibility."

Byun, a close friend of Song's, liked the post and left a comment reading "♥♥♥." Byun has publicly shown his friendship with Song through television appearances and other media over the past decade or so.

Song had been indicted on charges of going absent without leave for 102 of approximately 430 scheduled workdays while serving as a social service worker at a facility in Mapo-gu, Seoul, between March 2023 and December 2024. The Seoul Western District Court sentenced Song to one year in prison, suspended for two years, on Oct. 1.

Meanwhile, Song debuted with Winner in August 2014 and found success with a string of hit songs including "Gongheohae," "Really Really" and "Everyday." He also finished as runner-up on Mnet's "Show Me the Money 10" and appeared on variety programs including "New Journey to the West."
