Daegu University's AI Boot Camp project unit signed an MOU with the Korea AI and Software Industry Association (KOSA) on Wednesday to promote the training of AI and software professionals and strengthen industry-academia cooperation. The signing ceremony was held in a conference room on the third floor of Engineering Building 7 on campus.

Sixteen representatives from both organizations attended the ceremony, including KOSA Standing Vice President Seo Seong-il and Yoo Jun-hyeok, head of Daegu University's AI Boot Camp project unit.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate on running industry-demand-based AI and software curricula, corporate-linked industry-academia programs, field training, internships and job placement, as well as joint competitions and seminars.

Students will receive education reflecting the needs of the corporate sector and build practical skills through projects tied to KOSA member companies and mentoring by industry professionals.

"This agreement is meaningful because it opens a broader path for students to directly experience the AI and software industry beyond the classroom," Yoo said. "We will actively create opportunities for field training and job placement so that students can develop practical skills and land positions at the companies they want."
