Spao, the SPA (specialty store retailer of private label apparel) brand operated by Eland World, will launch a Hangul Day collaboration collection with Kyobo Book Centre on Friday. The collection is titled "Insomnia Reading Club."

The collection draws its concept from the phrase "When you can't sleep, try counting books." Spao collaborated with Kyobo Book Centre and two bestselling poetry collections — "Shower Gel and Soda Water" and "Try Reading Love and Extinction Interchangeably."

The lineup includes pajamas inspired by "Shower Gel and Soda Water," a blanket inspired by "Try Reading Love and Extinction Interchangeably," a checkered "Insomnia Reading Club" pajama set, a short-sleeve T-shirt, a shoulder bag and a book cover titled "A Few Sheep." The pajamas and blanket feature verses drawn from poet Ko Seon-gyeong's "Shower Gel and Soda Water" and poet Yu Seon-hye's "Try Reading Love and Extinction Interchangeably." The book cover is made from black quilted fabric with a pink lining, finished with embroidered text, a label and a bookmark ribbon.

The collaboration is part of Kyobo Book Centre's "2026 Hangul Day Project," launched to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hangul Day. The bookstore has been proposing new ways to experience hangul under the theme "Seeing, reading, writing and treasuring hangul," weaving together online content, curated book selections, merchandise and in-store activations.

"We prepared this Kyobo Book Centre collaboration collection using hangul to mark Hangul Day," an Eland Spao official said. "We hope this collection, which captures the culture and lifestyle of reading, will be met with great interest."
