The Yecheon-gun Council in North Gyeongsang Province announced Thursday that it will open its 288th extraordinary session, running 12 days through Oct. 19.

The session will focus primarily on on-site inspections of major project sites, with council members set to directly review key county administration issues, project progress and conditions at each site.

Through the inspections, the council will closely examine problems arising during project implementation, inconveniences faced by residents, whether projects are proceeding according to original plans, and whether budgets are being spent appropriately.

"This extraordinary session is an important sitting in which we directly verify whether major projects are being carried out as planned and whether the voices of county residents are being properly reflected in the process," council Speaker Kim Hong-nyeon said. "We will scrutinize everything carefully so that residents can feel the results of county administration."
