Events to run at four centers in Greater Seoul area and Sejong
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced Thursday that it will hold autumn "Neighborhood Cultural Hub" events at four housing exhibition centers in the Greater Seoul area and Sejong, starting Oct. 17.
LH has been offering cultural experience programs to local communities by using its housing exhibition centers during periods when apartment subscriptions are not being processed. A special summer event held in July drew about 5,000 visitors and generated strong public interest.
Starting with the autumn events, LH will also provide content on public housing policy and key housing projects, making the information easily accessible alongside the cultural and hands-on programs.
This season's events will follow a picnic theme. The program will rotate weekly across four exhibition centers in Hwaseong, Incheon, Sejong and Namyangju, with each venue offering a variety of cultural and experiential programs tailored to local visitors.
The Dongtan center will kick off the series Oct. 17-18 with a "Play Picnic" theme, featuring an LH challenge zone and team recreation activities that visitors can join directly. The Incheon center will follow Oct. 24-25 with an "Art Picnic" theme, offering family-friendly programs including mural painting and string instrument experiences.
The Sejong center, which regularly runs a mixed cultural program every Friday and Saturday, will host magic and balloon shows Oct. 30-31. Visitors can also explore LH's major public housing projects at the "Future Residential Exhibition Zone," which opened at the center in July.
The Namyangju center will wrap up the series Nov. 7-8 under a "Local Picnic" theme, with a flea market featuring local small business owners, an outdoor picnic zone and a parenting talk show among the planned activities.
Some programs will require advance reservations. Those wishing to participate may apply through LH's official website starting Thursday.
"We will continue to do our best to establish housing exhibition centers as vibrant cultural spaces and open venues where visitors can easily learn about evolving public housing policies and housing information," an LH official said.
Meanwhile, LH has previously pledged to make an all-out effort to boost housing supply in the Greater Seoul area. Its 2026 non-residential remodeling project call drew applications for 2,100 units, surpassing the target of 2,000.
