The Dalseong-gun Council visited the Samri 1-ri community center in Nongong-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, on Wednesday to carry out an autumn laundry volunteer service.

Council Speaker Gwak Dong-hwan and all 12 council members took part, joined by volunteers from the Dalseong-gun Volunteer Center and the Mujigae Volunteer Corps.

The group washed and dried heavy items such as comforters and blankets for elderly residents as part of the "laundry of love" initiative.

"It is a small gesture, but I am glad it can be of help to our senior residents," Speaker Gwak said. "We will consistently pursue a variety of volunteer activities together with local community members going forward."
