"Countdown: five, four, three, two, one — launch."
South Korea's homegrown Nuri rocket, developed entirely with domestic technology, successfully lifted off from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province, at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday.
The rocket roared off Launch Pad 2 at the Naro Space Center, shooting skyward in a burst of red flames and black smoke as its ground-hold clamps released.
