Police are hunting a suspect after a couple in their 60s were found dead in Naju, South Jeolla Province.

According to the Naju Police Station, an acquaintance discovered the couple dead inside a house in Wanggok-myeon, Naju, at around 7:49 p.m. Tuesday and called police.

The victims were found with their feet bound using pieces of clothing.

The couple were farmers, police said.

An initial forensic examination found the husband had been stabbed with a bladed weapon, while the wife was believed to have died from suffocation caused by airway obstruction. No weapon was found at the scene.

Police are tracking an unidentified man captured on closed-circuit television cameras near the couple's home, whom they consider the prime suspect.
