Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu has shared abusive messages he received in the early hours of the morning.

Jang posted on his Instagram account Wednesday, writing, "It's a job that not everyone likes, so even when I'm hurt inside, I try to respect people who criticize me," and added, "But this case made me curious about the psychology behind it."

A screenshot he shared showed messages that had arrived starting at 1:47 a.m., containing phrases such as "You're so annoying," "I can't stand looking at you," and "I really hate you," mixed with profanity.

Jang said he replied to the sender, asking, "What's this out of nowhere — have you been drinking?"

In his post, Jang wrote, "I wonder what goes through the mind of someone who monitors all my broadcasts and then comes to find me in the middle of the night just to carefully craft insults," adding that he had asked Gemini about it and received a four-point breakdown.

According to the Gemini response Jang shared, the behavior was analyzed as stemming from excessive observation and attention, a desire for attention, a need to feel superior, and an aversion to others' individuality or success.

"Reading it, I thought, well, I guess that could be it," Jang wrote. "I'll try my best to understand and respect them."

He added, "To the person who sent the DM — please keep up the monitoring."
