After-sales network to expand to 26 locations by year-end

BYD Korea announced Wednesday that it has opened the BYD Auto Yongin Service Center — its 21st passenger vehicle service center — and begun offering customized maintenance services at the new facility.

The center began official operations Thursday and is located in the same building as the BYD Auto Yongin showroom, which opened in September. The shared location aims to improve service access for customers not only in Yongin but also in Hwaseong, Anseong and other key areas of southern Gyeonggi Province, while providing a more convenient vehicle management environment.

The Yongin service center spans approximately 357 square meters and is equipped with three work bays, giving it the capacity to service and repair up to 250 vehicles per month.

All staff at the center are dedicated technicians who have completed BYD's global-standard professional technical training program. The company said they will deliver stable, high-quality service based on a standardized maintenance process.

"As the number of vehicle buyers grows, it is only natural that expectations and interest in after-sales service rise as well," a BYD Korea official said. "BYD Korea will proactively reflect consumer needs — not only by expanding the number of locations, but also by continuously working to improve service quality through skilled personnel and a systematic service process, so that customers can use their vehicles with confidence."

BYD Korea plans to expand its current network of 21 service centers to 26 by the end of this year, strengthening its after-sales infrastructure and improving convenience for customers.

Meanwhile, BYD Korea has been actively broadening its lineup, recently adding an all-wheel-drive model to the Sea Lion 6 DM-i, a plug-in hybrid SUV.

The Sea Lion 6 DM-i AWD model features electric motors on both the front and rear axles for enhanced driving performance, and comes with a larger battery capacity that enables an all-electric range of up to 93 kilometers.
