A video from the 49th-day memorial ceremony for the late YouTuber Daedoseogwan, whose real name was Na Dong-hyun, has been released belatedly, more than a year after his death.
The video was uploaded Sunday to the YouTube channel "Daedoseogwan TV" under the title "[Daedoseogwan's 49th-day memorial] We are sharing the memories from that day, albeit late."
Alongside the video, the channel added a note: "Many people joined us for Daedoseogwan's 49th-day memorial ceremony, held on Oct. 23, 2025, at Yaksa Temple. We are sharing these memories, however late, with apologies for not being able to show it live at the time, and with gratitude to everyone who joined us in spirit."
A number of people attended the ceremony to pay their respects. The video also showed photos of the late creator being burned together with letters left by fans.
Daedoseogwan was found dead at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the morning of Sept. 6 last year. He was 46.
Police responded after an acquaintance reported that he had not shown up to a scheduled meeting and could not be reached. Officers confirmed his death at the scene. No suicide note or signs of foul play were found. The National Forensic Service determined the cause of death to be a cerebral hemorrhage.
Daedoseogwan was a first-generation YouTuber who began streaming online in 2010. He was particularly known for pioneering a style of solo broadcasting free of profanity that viewers of all ages could enjoy, and for expanding his presence across multiple platforms.
