Comedian Park Mi-sun has spoken candidly about how her outlook on life has changed since her cancer diagnosis.

Park appeared Tuesday on the YouTube channel "Iseongmi's Naneun Kkondaeda," a lifestyle talk show hosted by comedian Lee Seong-mi, joined by fellow comedian Lee Hong-ryeol. The two discussed aging and health.

When asked how one should age well, Park said her experience with illness had given her a new perspective. "I'm still relatively young, but having been sick and spent time in the hospital, watching other patients made me realize something — that staying healthy myself is a far greater gift to my children than leaving them anything material," she said.

She added that the experience had also changed how she thinks about death. "I've come to feel that I must not get sick. People never know when they'll die, but since we all do, I find myself wanting to go cleanly — without a long illness. I think that, too, is the right path for my children," she said.

Lee Hong-ryeol echoed the sentiment, urging older audiences to take their health seriously. "I want to tell seniors: look after your body to a degree that might seem excessive. Take your supplements and anything good for you with real determination," he said. "When you fall ill, on average seven or eight people around you suffer too. Don't neglect building your muscle strength."

Park was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in 2024 and has since focused on treatment and recovery. She has returned to the public eye through the tvN variety show "You Quiz on the Block."
