Strong customer response since July revamp prompts addition of 70 more stores
Burger King announced Tuesday it will expand its breakfast menu to an additional 70 stores across the country.
The expansion will bring the total number of breakfast-serving locations to 190 nationwide. Customers outside Greater Seoul will also be able to order breakfast items, with participating stores now covering major locations in the Yeongnam, Chungcheong, Honam and Gangwon Province regions.
The move comes in response to strong customer reception following a breakfast menu overhaul in July, when Burger King introduced its globally popular Croissan'wich to the Korean market and expanded breakfast-serving locations from 58 to 120.
Sales in the month after the new breakfast menu launched were roughly 8.2 times higher than the previous month. A teaser campaign titled "Burger King, Now Serving Breakfast," released through the chain's official social media channels, accumulated more than 1.41 million views.
The breakfast menu is available from store opening until 11 a.m. At some 24-hour locations, service begins as early as 4:30 a.m.
"We will continue to offer a variety of breakfast options so that more customers can enjoy Burger King's morning menu as part of their daily routine," a company official said.
