About 370 on-site, 60 online hires expected at Oct. 22 event at Geumchon multipurpose gymnasium
Paju city announced Tuesday that 49 companies have confirmed their participation in a job fair to be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the Geumchon Multipurpose Indoor Gymnasium.
The city recruited participating companies from Sept. 1 to Sept. 18. Of the 49 firms, 35 will conduct in-person interviews on the day of the fair, while 14 that cannot attend in person will recruit applicants through an online hiring portal. The event is expected to fill about 370 positions on-site and roughly 60 online, for a combined total of approximately 430 hires.
Among the notable participants, ASE Korea — one of Paju's leading chipmakers — plans to hire 50 people, while DW Technology Co. intends to recruit more than 20.
Other participants include social enterprise Eden House, Saeroun Sesang — which hires people with disabilities — Munsan Central Hospital, Gyeonggi Industry and Jaeneung Printing Co. Domisol Food, a women-friendly company, is returning this year after taking part last year.
Coupang Inc., which is seeking a large number of logistics workers, will also be on hand, along with research-focused firms Natural Korea Co., Duocom Co. and Samsung Special Brake Co. Hiring will span a wide range of fields beyond production roles — such as baristas and kitchen staff at Moqusura — including management, maintenance, sales, nursing and radiology.
The fair will also offer an AI-powered job-matching service. Job seekers can scan their resumes to receive recommendations for suitable participating companies based on an analysis of their career history and skills, helping them find the right positions more quickly and easily.
In addition, the event will feature a service that converts photos taken on-site into formal interview portraits suitable for resumes, as well as a station that transforms handwritten resumes into printed documents.
