Samsung Electronics is bringing two new products to the South Korean market: the Galaxy Tab S12 series and the Galaxy SmartTag3. The company said the launches are part of its push to expand the Galaxy ecosystem with devices focused on AI and productivity.

Samsung Electronics said both products will go on sale Wednesday.

The company highlighted AI as the defining feature of the Tab S12 lineup. Both the Tab S12 Ultra and the Tab S12+ come with advanced Galaxy AI functions — including Now Nudge, optimized for large displays — along with an S Pen for handwriting and drawing. The series also marks the first time Adobe Photoshop has been available on an Android tablet.

Samsung also made the devices thinner and lighter. The Tab S12 Ultra features a 14.6-inch display in a body just 5.1 millimeters thin and can run video playback for up to 23 hours on a single charge. The Tab S12+ is 5.3 millimeters thin and weighs 553 grams — slimmer and lighter than its predecessor — with a battery life of up to 21 hours of video playback per charge.

Pricing for the Tab S12 Ultra starts at 1.9 million won ($1,400) and goes up to 3.02 million won depending on the configuration. The Tab S12+ ranges from 1.55 million won to 2.07 million won.

Samsung Electronics plans to offer a range of promotional benefits for Galaxy Tab S12 series buyers through Oct. 31. Customers who purchase the Tab S12 series through a Samsung AI subscription can receive the equivalent of six months of subscription fees as Samsung membership points. Additional benefits — covering up to 20 percent of subscription costs — are available to those who meet qualifying conditions such as prepayment discounts, multi-item discounts and points accrual.

All buyers will also receive a six-month Google AI Pro subscription valued at 170,000 won, along with 16 content perks. These include a three-month pass for one streaming service of their choice — Disney+, Wavve or Tving — as well as a three-month Willa membership, a one-year Hancom Docs pass and a 90-day Yes24 Crema Club membership.

Alongside this, Samsung will give buyers an AR screen protector and offer a choice between 50 percent off the Slim Keyboard Book Cover or 30 percent off either the Pro Keyboard or the Book Cover.

Samsung will also run a review event on Samsung.com and major online marketplaces. Customers who buy the product by Monday and submit a review by Oct. 31 will receive a 50,000-won CJ Olive Young gift card. Those whose reviews are selected as outstanding will receive an additional gift card.

Samsung is also launching the SmartTag3, a compact tracking device that can be attached to belongings or pets to monitor their location. The device supports a Compass View function that guides users to an item's direction and distance within a range of up to 60 meters, as well as a Nearby Search feature for a quick overview of a tag's location.

Samsung pointed to iOS compatibility as a key strength of the SmartTag3. The device is also smaller and lighter than its predecessor and carries a battery rated for up to 790 days of use.

The SmartTag3 will be available in white and black at 44,000 won per unit. A bundle of four — two white and two black — is available at a 15 percent discount for 149,600 won.

Samsung will also release a line of dedicated accessories for the SmartTag3, designed for use as a keyring or stand mount. The range includes a silicone case in five colors — black, lavender, blue, mint and white — a loop case for attaching to luggage, a pet name tag case compatible with collars and harnesses, and a bicycle case for securing the tag to a bike as an anti-theft measure.

Through Oct. 31, customers who purchase the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, Flip8, Galaxy S26 series or Galaxy S26 FE will be eligible for a 30 percent discount on a SmartTag3 and Tag3 case package.

Customers who buy a SmartTag3 alongside one of the eligible smartphones and submit a qualifying review will receive prizes including a hotel stay, a 50,000-won CJ Olive Young gift card and a 10,000-won coffee coupon.

"With the Galaxy Tab S12 series boosting productivity and the SmartTag3 adding peace of mind through location tracking, we aim to support a more convenient everyday life," said Jung Ho-jin, head of Samsung Electronics' Korea division. "We hope customers will explore the Galaxy ecosystem through the Samsung AI subscription and the range of purchase benefits on offer."
