CJ Logistics is teaming up with financial platform Toss to overhaul everyday logistics services, introducing a parcel service tailored for small business owners and merchants while also planning to build a network of neighborhood parcel drop-off points accessible to ordinary consumers.

CJ Logistics said Monday it will use Toss's offline payment terminal network — known as "Toss Front" — to let merchant store owners send parcels more easily without going through complicated procedures. The initiative aims to improve logistics convenience for small business owners and self-employed workers by integrating parcel dispatch directly into their day-to-day store operations.

The two companies also plan to turn Toss Front-equipped stores into parcel drop-off points where general customers can send packages. With roughly 500,000 Toss-affiliated stores across the country potentially serving as community logistics hubs, consumers would be able to drop off parcels at nearby neighborhood shops, significantly expanding CJ Logistics' offline customer reach.

To that end, the two companies signed an MOU titled "Building a Collaborative Model for Logistics Business" at Toss's headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on Wednesday. Key representatives from both sides attended the signing, including Jin Pil-gyu, head of Toss's payment business division, and Jung In-ji, head of planning at CJ Logistics' O-NE division.

The agreement follows the two companies' earlier collaboration in April, when CJ Logistics' parcel-sending service "Delivery Send" launched on the Toss mini-app. The new MOU builds on that partnership, combining each company's core strengths to sharpen their competitiveness in everyday logistics and explore new business opportunities.

The plan pairs CJ Logistics' nationwide logistics infrastructure and parcel operations with Toss's platform and offline merchant network, extending their cooperation beyond online channels into the broader realm of community-level everyday logistics.

The two companies will also work to upgrade the Toss mini-app's "Delivery Send" feature — including adding automatic sender address input — to improve reliability and customer convenience. Joint promotional campaigns using Toss's platform marketing assets are also planned.

"Our collaboration with Toss is growing beyond simply being listed on an online platform, expanding into an everyday logistics service that reaches closer to the daily lives of small business owners and general customers," Jung said. "We will continue to expand easy and convenient everyday logistics services by combining our nationwide logistics infrastructure with Toss's broad customer and merchant network."

Meanwhile, CJ Logistics has also been actively recruiting, recently launching a logistics-focused hiring program to select new employees for positions at logistics hubs across the country. The program targets locally rooted young candidates with logistics-related skills, offering them structured education, hands-on field experience and a path to becoming regional logistics specialists.
