Super Junior member Kim Hee-chul opened up about why he is pessimistic about marriage on Sunday's episode of the SBS variety show My Little Old Boy.

The episode featured Tak Jae-hoon, Kim Hee-chul and Choi Jin-hyuk visiting Lee Dong-gun's newly moved-in home.

Inside the apartment, the sofa and table Lee had used during his marriage were still in place.

Noticing this, Kim asked what happens to shared belongings after a couple splits up. Lee and Tak said some people take what they need, while others replace everything because the items bring back memories.

Kim then asked what people do with things like a bed, to which Tak shot back, "I have no memory of ever being married."

Kim continued to press the topic, asking Choi whether he would give his mother the door passcode to his newlywed home after getting married.

When Choi said he would ask his wife first, Kim suggested that asking her would only result in a reluctant yes. He added that he planned to ask his lawyer acquaintance Park Min-chul whether such a situation could even be grounds for divorce, drawing laughs from the group.

Tak responded, "You worry too much," and Lee said, "You're being way too pessimistic." Kim replied, "How can I not be pessimistic? Everyone around me is like this" — nodding to Tak, Lee and Seo Jang-hoon, all of whom have been through divorce.

Seo, who was watching the footage from the studio, fell noticeably quiet at the mention of his name, adding to the laughter.
