Model and actor Jang Yoon-ju has revealed why she decided to move to the United Kingdom with her family after three years of deliberation.

In a video titled "The Jang Yoon-ju family, who came to the UK after three years of deliberation — please take care of us," posted Saturday on her YouTube channel "Yoonjure Jang Yoon-ju," Jang spoke candidly about the process that led to the move and her feelings about starting a new life abroad.

Jang said the move began with a long-held dream of her husband's. "About three years ago, my husband said he wanted to study again. That's when it all started," she said. Her husband had expressed a desire to pursue design studies more seriously, and Jang said she supported his decision.

As the family prepared to leave, anxiety ran alongside their excitement.

Jang said she did not consider the move permanent. "We're not leaving for good — I'll come and go when there's work," she said, while also admitting she felt "uneasy in many ways" about living in the UK for an extended period. Her husband, she added, was also worried about having to complete a master's program in English.

The decision was not easy for Jang either. "For the past two or three years, I kept saying, 'I'm not going — you go alone,'" she said. "Then I thought, 'If I don't go now, I never will,' and decided to go together."

Watching her husband take on the challenge of studying later in life has also prompted her own reflection. "Seeing him do this, I want to find what I can throw myself into and keep doing for the next 10, 15, 20 years," she said, adding that she also wants to reconsider how to share her own sense of beauty with others.
