North Gyeongsang Technopark held the fourth meeting of the North Gyeongsang Province small manufacturer support agency council at Sono Calm Gyeongju, with about 30 officials from North Gyeongsang Province, small manufacturer complex support centers, regional dedicated agencies and partner organizations in attendance, the organization announced Sunday.
The meeting was convened to share updates on the 2026 project progress of small manufacturer support agencies in the region, identify industry-academia-research collaboration projects related to small manufacturers in North Gyeongsang Province, and discuss ways to generate synergies through cooperation among the participating agencies.
The session featured a project progress report from the province's dedicated small manufacturer agency, followed by a policy direction presentation by Kim Yong-hyun, head of the project support division at the North Gyeongsang Research Institute. Reports were then delivered on three initiatives run by the regional dedicated agency: market development, advanced technology education and global marketing.
Participants also reviewed the operational status and case studies of small manufacturer support programs run by the Gyeongsan and Yeongju small manufacturer complex support centers.
Daegu Haany University's small business digital transformation support center presented success stories from its work, giving attendees an opportunity to share key cases and experiences from the field.
Participants then exchanged views on identifying industry-academia-research collaboration projects for small manufacturers in North Gyeongsang Province, shared updates on each agency's programs, and discussed ways to strengthen inter-agency linkages and cooperation.
"We will continue to strengthen the cooperative framework among support agencies and create diverse project linkage opportunities so that small manufacturers in North Gyeongsang Province can receive the support they need in a timely manner," said Ha In-seong, president of North Gyeongsang Technopark.
