Samsung C&T is moving ahead with its "Next Series" — a suite of future residential technologies that includes "Next Home," which allows living spaces to evolve organically with residents' lifestyles, and "Next Remodeling," which delivers a brand-new apartment without tearing down the existing structure.

The company unveiled the technologies at Herald Money Festa 2026, held Friday at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul, showcasing future residential innovations to be incorporated into its Raemian apartment brand. The festival, themed "Money Rebalancing: Recalibrating the Weight of Your Assets," ran Friday and Saturday.

Samsung C&T's Next Series comprises three technologies: Next Home, Next Remodeling and Next Material.

Next Home refers to apartment space technology that adapts flexibly to residents' preferences. By eliminating interior columns and routing pipes and utilities to the building's perimeter, the system allows spaces to be reconfigured freely. Pre-fabricated components — Next Infill (interior finishing materials), Next Furniture and Next Wall — can be repositioned to resize rooms or even relocate bathrooms. The technology is set to be introduced at Raemian Ellavine, a reconstruction project for Zone 6 of the Banghwa New Town redevelopment in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

Samsung C&T also introduced Next Remodeling, an innovative approach to renovating aging apartment complexes that preserves the existing structural frame while replacing interiors, exteriors and building systems — cutting the total construction period to under two years.

Compared with conventional remodeling, the method offers a shorter overall project timeline, including permitting and construction, along with greater project stability. By applying customized products, it can deliver premium residential quality that meets or exceeds what a full reconstruction would achieve. Once complete, the complex receives a new completion date and is reborn as a newly built Raemian development. The first project expected to adopt Next Remodeling is Banpo Prugio, located near Sinbanpo Station in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Rounding out the series, Next Material is a finishing-material technology that can reproduce the texture and color of various materials to match customer preferences. Samsung C&T plans to introduce next-generation innovations to the apartment finishing-materials market — a first in the industry.

Next Material will be realized through an advanced printing technology called "Digital Vision," which uses high-precision printing to replicate the visual and tactile qualities of natural materials such as wood and marble to a level indistinguishable from the real thing. The technology reproduces not only the visual patterns of rare, high-grade marble and natural timber but also their subtle tactile characteristics, completing the premium Raemian aesthetic.

Meanwhile, visitors to the Samsung C&T booth peppered staff with questions about upcoming Raemian pre-sales. Now in its third edition, Herald Money Festa features lectures spanning shares, ETFs, real estate, gold, virtual assets, wealth management, tax planning and inheritance — offering attendees a chance to reassess their financial portfolios and track money flows amid a rapidly shifting investment landscape.
