Grand Koleos drives domestic sales with 1,007 units sold
Exports surge 90.7% month-on-month to 4,267 units
Renault Korea sold 6,556 vehicles in global markets in September, the company announced Thursday.
Domestic sales rose 13.1 percent from the previous month to 2,289 units. The midsize SUV Grand Koleos led the lineup with 1,007 units sold. The company said customer interest in its free extended warranty program — "7 Years, 140,000 km," available from September — drove the sales increase despite fewer working days during the Chuseok holiday.
Exports totaled 4,267 units in September, up 90.7 percent from the previous month. Shipments included 648 units of the Arkana, 422 units of the Grand Koleos (marketed abroad as the New Koleos), 73 units of the Filante and 3,124 units of the Polestar 4, including European-bound SUV variants.
Meanwhile, Renault Korea is offering customers who purchase the Filante or Grand Koleos this month an extended warranty of up to seven years or 140,000 kilometers. Buyers of the Arkana Hybrid will receive purchase benefits worth 5 million won ($3,690).
