Rising MMA prospects Shin Yun-gangsan (25, Team Red) and Kim Jae-young (21, Havas MMA) will meet in the main event of TFC 24.

TFC announced Thursday that the two fighters have been booked for the main event of the second card at "TFC 24 Break Through," to be held Oct. 23 at the Gangnam Textile Center Event Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Though neither fighter has extensive professional experience, both have honed their skills on the amateur and semi-professional circuit. TFC placed them in the main event slot after evaluating them as future standard-bearers for the organization, following a recommendation from General Manager Hwang Seon-muk.

Fighting under the nickname "Raptor," Shin holds a brown belt in jiu-jitsu and is riding a 17-fight winning streak across amateur and semi-pro competition. "Martial arts is more than just a sport to me — it has given me my identity," Shin said. "I will fulfill the commitment I made to prove that identity on the professional stage."

Kim is also a jiu-jitsu brown belt with strong striking ability. "I have been preparing with everything I have, day after day, so I will show up in peak condition and put on a great fight," Kim said. "Keep watching until the day I become a world champion."

TFC Co-CEO Jeon Chan-yeol said the organization was impressed by what both fighters had shown at the semi-pro level and beyond. "They may not have much professional experience, but we rate their skill and potential very highly," he said. "This is a matchup Korean MMA fans should pay attention to."

TFC 24 will be divided into two cards — an undercard and a main card — and broadcast live on IB Sports and the TFC Korea YouTube channel.
