Songwol Chairman Park Byung-dae, BNK Busan Bank CEO Kim Sung-joo
Anchor company to drive industrial value chain linkage
Partnership aims to build financial ecosystem for corporate growth and regional industry
BNK Financial Group announced Thursday that it has signed an industrial finance MOU with Songwol to strengthen regional industry competitiveness and activate supply chains. The signing ceremony was held at Songwol's headquarters and was attended by Songwol Chairman Park Byung-dae, BNK Busan Bank CEO Kim Sung-joo and BNK Capital CEO Son Dae-jin.
The agreement is designed to enhance the competitiveness of the industrial value chain linking Songwol, as the anchor company, with its partner firms, and to build a sustainable industrial ecosystem in which corporate growth and regional industrial development feed into a virtuous cycle for the local economy.
Under the MOU, BNK Busan Bank will identify the diverse financial needs of Songwol and its partner companies, providing tailored financial support and advisory services to help activate supply chains. BNK Capital will offer specialized credit finance solutions — including auto financing, leasing and installment financing — suited to each company's business characteristics and needs.
Songwol will share the financial needs and on-the-ground challenges of its partner companies and cooperate in efforts to invigorate supply chain financing.
"Industrial finance goes beyond supporting individual companies — it connects the entire industrial ecosystem, from anchor companies to their partners, and delivers comprehensive financial services," a BNK Financial Group official said. "We will listen closely to voices from the industrial front lines and leverage the group's diverse financial capabilities to develop industrial finance models tailored to local companies and their sector-specific characteristics."
