Shinsegae Duty Free is expanding its VIP perks, adding dog-care benefits on the heels of a premium airport transfer service it recently launched for top-tier customers.

The duty-free retailer said Thursday it has signed a partnership with Yeled, a premium pet-care brand, to provide dog-hotel stay vouchers to customers who need care for their pets while traveling.

Domestic members who spend $300 or more at Shinsegae Duty Free and complete their product pickup will receive a one-night stay voucher at a Yeled dog hotel. Applications for the benefit are open from Thursday through Oct. 31, and the vouchers are valid through Jan. 31 next year. Customers who use the dog hotel will also receive a complimentary one-day trial at a Yeled dog daycare.

The promotion runs throughout October. Shinsegae Duty Free said it linked the service of a professional pet-care provider to its duty-free shopping benefits with travelers' concerns about leaving their dogs behind in mind. The company plans to formally incorporate dog-care services as a permanent VIP benefit.

Shinsegae Duty Free has been steadily broadening its VIP offerings. In July, it launched a premium airport mobility service connecting S.VIP and VIP customers' homes to Incheon and Gimpo airports.

"We plan to continue enhancing existing services based on customer feedback while adding new benefits such as dog care, expanding VIP services that align with customers' actual travel journeys," a Shinsegae Duty Free official said.
