Oct. 3–18 at Taehwagang Station plaza
Nam-gu and the Whale Culture Foundation will transform the plaza in front of Taehwagang Station into a festival gateway ahead of the 30th Ulsan Whale Festival, hosting a special outdoor concert series called "Taehwagang Station Whale Music Station" from Saturday through Oct. 18.
During the festival period — Oct. 15 through Oct. 18 — the foundation plans to turn the station's boarding area into what it calls "a space where waiting becomes a festival," filling the gaps between shuttle buses that run every 30 minutes to Jangsaengpo.
From Oct. 3 through Oct. 15, street performances featuring youth musicians, children's performance groups, dance acts and magic shows will offer entertainment for all ages. On Oct. 17 and 18, the series will continue with pre-festival street concerts serving as a warm-up stage for the main event.
A Nam-gu official said the special stage was set up to use Taehwagang Station as a key gateway to the Ulsan Whale Festival, helping guide Donghae Line passengers and tourists naturally toward the festival grounds in Jangsaengpo, and expressed hope for strong public participation.
