Hankook Tire & Technology is running a promotion ahead of the fall and winter seasons to ease the cost of tire replacements for truck and bus drivers.
The company announced Wednesday that it will hold the "TBX Ride and Win" promotion at its nationwide network of TBX membership stores — which specialize in truck and bus tires — from Thursday through Nov. 10.
Commercial vehicles tend to be heavier and cover longer distances than passenger cars, making regular checks of tire wear and braking performance especially important.
Hankook Tire is offering discount coupons and gas vouchers to meet demand for tire replacements ahead of winter.
Products eligible for the promotion include the SmartFlex line for medium- and long-haul use, the SmartWork line for dump trucks, and the SmartTouring line for intercity and express buses.
Customers who purchase two or more tires from the SmartFlex AH51(+), SmartFlex DH51, SmartFlex AH89, SmartWork AM11/DM11, or SmartTouring AL31 lines will receive a 20,000 won ($15) discount coupon.
Purchases of two or more SmartFlex AH35 or DH35 tires qualify for a 10,000 won discount coupon. Customers who buy a combined total of four or more AH51(+) and DH51 tires will also receive a gas voucher worth 50,000 won.
All products in the promotion feature Hankook Tire's Smartec technology platform for truck and bus tires — a system designed to enhance safety, mileage, braking performance and resistance to tire damage for commercial vehicle operating conditions.
Through its TBX stores, Hankook Tire offers not only tire sales but also after-sales service following installation. In 2020, the company launched the TBX Membership app, allowing customers to access purchase history and vehicle and tire management services online.
Meanwhile, Hankook Tire has recently been expanding its supply of original equipment tires. The company is broadening its partnerships with automakers, including supplying its Dynapro HPX SUV tire in 18-, 20- and 21-inch sizes for the Volkswagen Atlas, a large SUV sold in North America.
