Yongsan-gu District Mayor Kim Kyung-dae reported total assets of 9.3 billion won ($6.84 million), making him the wealthiest among the 10 newly registered Seoul district mayors whose assets were disclosed this round. His holdings include more than 5 billion won in real estate and about 700 million won in virtual assets.

According to the asset disclosure for newly elected officials from the June 3 local elections, published by the Government Ethics Committee on Tuesday, Kim reported total assets of 9.36 billion won. His real estate holdings, valued at 5.68 billion won, include an apartment in Ichon-dong that he owns outright, valued at 2 billion won; a jeonse lease right on another apartment worth 1.7 billion won; and a separate apartment on Hangang-ro 1-ga co-owned by his spouse, eldest son and second son. Kim also reported bank deposits of 3.12 billion won and a rental deposit of 2.5 billion won.

Kim also disclosed virtual assets totaling 753.67 million won. In his own name, he holds 24,390.24 Dogecoin, 5.52 Bitcoin, 281.04 Solana, 4,246.18 Sui, 2,926.54 XRP (Ripple) and 2.21 Ethereum. His spouse reported 0.75 Bitcoin, his eldest son 0.98 Bitcoin and his second son 0.57 Bitcoin. Kim is the only first-term district mayor elected in the ninth round of local elections whose personal asset disclosure includes virtual assets held in his own name.

Of the 12 first-term district mayors whose assets were subject to disclosure, 10 were included in this release. Geumcheon-gu District Mayor Choi Ki-chan and Gangnam-gu District Mayor Kim Hyun-gi were excluded because they are not newly elected officials — both had served as Seoul Metropolitan Council members during the eighth term and ran in the local elections without resigning their seats before winning.

Jongno-gu District Mayor Yu Chan-jong reported assets of 2.92 billion won, including 4 billion won in real estate — an apartment he owns in Yongsan-dong 5-ga, Yongsan-gu, and a mixed-use residential and commercial building in Gyobuk-dong, Jongno-gu — along with financial liabilities of 1.93 billion won and deposits on commercial and residential properties.

Dongjak-gu District Mayor Ryu Sam-young reported 2.54 billion won in assets. His holdings include 3.45 billion won in real estate — an apartment in Bogwang-dong, Yongsan-gu, co-owned with his spouse, and an apartment in Nam-gu, Busan, in his own name — as well as private and financial liabilities totaling 1.45 billion won.

Seongdong-gu District Mayor Yu Bo-hwa reported total assets of 1.63 billion won, including an apartment in Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, valued at 435 million won. Yu's spouse holds virtual assets worth 4.73 million won, comprising 0.2 Dis Chain, 3.80 Litecoin, 28.78 Boba Token, 0.000007 Bitcoin and 26.33 Solana.

Dongdaemun-gu District Mayor Choi Dong-min reported total assets of 1.35 billion won, including a jeonse lease right on an apartment worth 530 million won. Seodaemun-gu District Mayor Park Un-gi reported 749.21 million won, Dobong-gu District Mayor Kim Dong-wook reported 377.85 million won, and Gangbuk-gu District Mayor Jeong Chang-su reported 489.08 million won. Yeongdeungpo-gu District Mayor Jo Yu-jin reported the smallest assets among the 10, at 157.05 million won.

Among Seoul Metropolitan Council members, People Power Party lawmaker Yun Yu-jin reported the highest assets at 15.64 billion won — the largest figure among all newly disclosed provincial council members nationwide. The bulk of Yun's wealth consists of bank deposits of 10.26 billion won held in the spouse's name. Fellow PPP lawmaker Min Kyung-hee reported 9.07 billion won, the second highest.

Min reported 6.95 billion won for a single apartment in Gangnam-gu and holds about 1.16 billion won in land in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.

Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Kim Jeong-hwan reported 4.05 billion won, PPP lawmaker Ju Su-hyeon reported 3.93 billion won and Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Eui-an reported 3.59 billion won, rounding out the top tier.

The lawmaker with the smallest reported assets was Democratic Party member Lee In-ae, who disclosed 10.87 million won. Lee holds a jeonse lease right on an officetel in Guro-gu valued at 100 million won, liabilities of 99 million won and bank deposits of 9.87 million won.

Of the 74 first-term Seoul Metropolitan Council members, 56 were subject to this round of asset disclosure. The remaining members were exempt because they had previously disclosed their assets while serving in other public roles, such as ward council members.
