Korea District Heating held an integrity forum Monday for representatives of major construction companies.

Standing Audit Committee Member Lee Se-geol organized the event to identify potential sources of unfair practices and irregularities at construction sites before they arise and to gather concerns and suggestions from partner companies in search of practical improvements.

Representatives from Korea District Heating and the construction companies exchanged views on strengthening fairness and transparency in contract and project management, preventing unfair practices stemming from positions of authority, fostering a culture of mutual respect among site personnel, and creating safer construction environments.

Lee said he plans to strengthen communication so that partner companies can freely raise concerns about unreasonable practices and systemic difficulties encountered on site, and to work with relevant departments to review suggestions raised at the forum and translate them into concrete policy improvements.

"Integrity at construction sites is not something a project owner can achieve through unilateral effort alone — it is a value that must be built together by the project owner and its partners, on the basis of mutual respect and trust," Lee said.
