The World Class Enterprises Association held a training session Tuesday to sharpen practical skills in corporate communications, investor relations and shareholder management using generative AI.

The association hosted the "2026 AI Corporate Communications Strategy Training" at Seoul National University of Education, targeting PR and IR managers from member companies. The program was designed to help participants apply rapidly evolving generative AI tools to their daily work while building capacity for shareholder communication and management in response to recent amendments to the Commercial Act.

The first session featured Kim Seong-yeol, head of the IPR division at Locomotive, speaking on "PR practice using generative AI." He introduced methods for using generative AI tools such as Gemini and Gamma to craft press release headlines and key messages, refine media pitching, and draft C-suite reports and proposals, sharing real-world case studies throughout.

Lee Jeong-hyeon, systems engineering leader in Locomotive's IT division, then presented on "hands-on IR using generative AI," focusing on shareholder management strategies that draw on unstructured data from stock discussion boards and investor communities. The session covered how to collect and analyze investor sentiment with AI, identify shareholder risks in advance, and link analytical findings to executive decision-making and IR question-and-answer sessions.

The second session was led by Kim Sang-gu, head of Locomotive's voting rights division, on "changes to the IR environment after the Commercial Act revision and how to prepare." He outlined how the expansion of directors' fiduciary duties and the introduction of an electronic shareholders' meeting system are reshaping IR and shareholder management, and walked participants through practical steps companies should take in advance when facing ownership disputes or proxy solicitation processes.

The World Class Enterprises Association is a business organization established in 2014 to support the growth and global competitiveness of world-class companies. "Boosting workplace productivity through AI technology and building shareholder trust have become essential survival strategies for listed companies seeking to enhance their value," an association official said. "We will continue to expand hands-on professional training so that our member companies' practitioners can respond swiftly to changes in domestic and international regulation and technology trends."
