Binggrae said Tuesday that its participation in the 2026 K-Expo Mexico yielded a deal to place its Melona ice cream bars in local Mexican retail outlets.
Binggrae operated a promotional booth at the expo, held in Mexico City from Thursday to Sunday (local time), drawing more than 25,000 visitors. The company showcased key export products including Banana Flavored Milk and Melona and held tasting events at the venue.
Binggrae also held a series of business meetings with local Mexican retailers during the event. As a result, the company agreed to place Melona in Soriana, one of Mexico's leading retail chains, around November. Binggrae already supplies Banana Flavored Milk to Mexican retailers including Soriana and HEB, and plans to use the Melona listing as a springboard to secure shelf space for other popular ice cream products such as Bungeo Ssamanko in the country's main retail channels.
Binggrae is also accelerating its push into Latin America with Mexico as its base. The company has been building brand recognition in Mexico through back-to-back trade show appearances — first at Expo Antad 2026 in May, then at K-Expo Mexico. "We will use Mexico as a hub to actively expand our retail network across Latin America," a company official said.
