Gunwi-gun in Daegu held an appointment ceremony for newly hired civil servants Monday at the county office's main conference room, welcoming those stepping into public service for the first time.

The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of appointment certificates followed by a swearing-in, with senior civil servants in attendance to celebrate the new recruits' fresh start.

The newly appointed civil servants were drawn from a range of fields — including administration, taxation, information technology, social welfare, public health, nursing, environment and disaster safety — and have been assigned to various departments across the county government.

County Chief Kim Jin-yeol congratulated the new hires in his remarks. "I congratulate the new civil servants on their new beginning," he said. "As Gunwi stands at a new turning point, I hope each of you will do your best in your respective roles and help build a new future for Gunwi together."
