Fact sheet also says no country may impose tolls on international waterways, in apparent reference to Iran

US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping exchanged views on the risks and benefits of artificial intelligence at their summit and agreed to establish a communication channel for the two countries to stay in contact when AI-related incidents occur, the White House said Friday (local time).

The White House disclosed the details in a fact sheet on the summit published on its website, adding that the two leaders agreed to use the term "Super Intelligence" (SI) instead of "artificial intelligence" (AI) when referring to emerging technology.

The two leaders also agreed that Iran must never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons, and that no country or entity should be permitted to impose tolls on international waterways, the White House said.

The statement appeared to target Iran, which has asserted control over the Strait of Hormuz and threatened to impose what would amount to tolls on vessels using the waterway.

The White House also said Trump and Xi discussed ways to promote peace and prosperity to build confidence among businesses and consumers worldwide, and that the two countries agreed to forge a constructive relationship aimed at strategic stability based on mutual respect, fairness and reciprocity.
