Seongbuk-gu held the '2026 Youth Job Fair & Seongbuk Youth Day' festival at Seongbuk Stream Fountain Plaza on Sept. 18–19 to mark Youth Day.
Seongbuk-gu in Seoul held the 2026 Seongbuk Youth Job Fair and a youth day festival called "Chunchunlog Seongbuk" over two days at Seongbuk Stream Fountain Plaza on Friday and Saturday to mark Youth Day.
The event was designed to give local young job seekers practical employment information while creating a space for youth and residents to connect through a culture festival planned by young people themselves.
On the first day, Friday, the job fair ran under the theme "A Preview of Job Preparation, Season 3." Current and former employees from 14 major companies — including Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, Microsoft, HD Hyundai and Nike — served as mentors, offering one-on-one career consultations, mock interviews open to the public, job-specific employment seminars and talk concerts.
In addition, career support offices from five universities in the district — Kookmin University, Dongduk Women's University, Seokyeong University, Sungshin Women's University and Hansung University — along with the Sungshin Women's University branch of CareerNet joined the event to provide on-site career counseling and detailed guidance on youth employment policies.
On Saturday, the youth day festival "Chunchunlog Seongbuk," planned and run entirely by a youth festival planning committee, opened under the slogan "Would you like to save your day?" Experience booths offering bead bookmark making, caricatures and tarot readings drew strong crowds, as did K-beauty booths run by Hansung University, Sungshin Women's University and the Seongbuk Youth Beauty Startup Center, where visitors could get personal color consultations, make their own perfume, try nail art and receive makeup sessions.
A range of affiliated organizations also participated, including the Blue Whale Recovery Center, Seoul Youth Center Seongbuk, a youth challenge support project, youth community spaces and the Seongbuk Youth Smart Startup Center. They shared tailored policy information covering social reintegration support for isolated youth, re-engagement programs for those who have given up on job hunting, and startup consulting for sole proprietors.
Seongbuk-gu District Mayor Lee Seung-ro said he hoped the job fair would give young people a concrete opportunity to map out their futures, and that the Youth Day festival would serve as a meaningful occasion for them to freely share the energy of youth they had planned themselves. "We will spare no effort in providing field-centered employment and startup support and comprehensive youth self-reliance policies so that the young people who are Seongbuk's future never stop challenging themselves and growing," he said.
