Outdoor fashion is making its way into everyday life, driven by a growing number of consumers who run, hike and camp as part of their regular routines. The trend goes beyond the "gorpcore" aesthetic that once dominated social media, with outdoor apparel now evolving into a staple of daily wardrobes.

LF's high-end outdoor brand Teton Bros. has put "active lifestyle outdoor" at the center of its fall-winter season lineup this year, according to industry sources. The brand applied colors and designs suited for everyday use alongside the technical features required for specific outdoor activities. "We took into account the growing number of customers who head straight to a cafe, a meal or shopping after exercising, without changing out of their workout clothes," LF said.

The flagship product is the Alive Down jacket. The line retains subdued tones — beige and brown — while expanding its silhouette and design options to a total of eight unisex styles and 15 men's and women's styles combined, 4.5 times more choices than last year. Because the Alive Down series sold out early last year, the brand also quadrupled its total order volume.

The lightweight down range includes three products: a trendy cropped cut, an oversized design with a wide fit and exterior pockets, and a high-insulation functional piece. The mid-weight down line features an on-trend two-tone colorway and a cocoon fit. A heavy down collection with two styles — one adding a muffler and another a hood — is set to be unveiled in October.

Data show that outdoor activity has become a bigger part of daily life. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's "2025 National Leisure Sports Survey" released in January, 62.9 percent of the population participates in recreational sports at least once a week for 30 minutes or more per session — up 2.2 percentage points from the previous year.

By sport, running ranked first at 40.5 percent, followed by bodybuilding at 17.5 percent and hiking at 17.1 percent. Outdoor activities all posted modest gains year on year, excluding running. Hiking rose 5 percentage points, while jogging climbed from 4.8 percent to 7.7 percent, futsal from 4.8 percent to 7.4 percent, and cycling — including road and mountain biking — from 5 percent to 5.8 percent.

The Flying 77 Goose Down jacket recently launched by Eland World's New Balance brand also centers on everyday wearability, with ash blue and charcoal as its signature colors. Nepa, meanwhile, released the Kanneto Hive Gore-Tex shoe for the hiking season — a lightweight reinterpretation of its signature mid hiking boot, the Kanneto, designed for daily wear. "We wanted it to perform reliably on the trail while also looking stylish enough for everyday use," a Nepa official said.
