Bando Construction has launched a campaign aimed at achieving its eighth consecutive year with zero major workplace accidents.

The company held a launch ceremony Tuesday for its "Zero Accidents for 100 Days" initiative, pledging to strengthen safety awareness and accident prevention across all its construction sites nationwide.

The campaign was designed to address risk factors identified through an analysis of accident types that occurred last year, focusing on hazards most likely to cause injuries.

The primary targets are collision, falling-object and slip-and-fall incidents. The company will designate each accident type as a monthly theme and run prevention campaigns at individual sites. Running through the end of the year, the initiative will conclude by collecting results from each site and sharing best practices across all locations.

Following the launch ceremony, the company also held the "2026 Ubora Partners Day," a forum for communication and technical cooperation with partner companies. The gathering brought together Lee Jeong-ryeol, head of Bando Construction's construction division, along with headquarters executives and department heads, and representatives and executives from 30 partner firms.

The event included a session in which Bando Construction shared updates on its project pipeline with partners and presented outstanding cases involving new technologies and construction methods aimed at raising safety and quality standards. Partner companies that had achieved strong results in safety and quality were recognized with awards, and participants exchanged views on deepening joint technology development and strengthening cooperative ties.

"We are consistently working to build a shared understanding with our partners — who carry out the actual work on site alongside us — about the importance of safety management," Lee said. "With the belief that mutual-growth management is safety management, we will continue our record of zero major accidents for eight consecutive years together with our partners."

Meanwhile, Bando Construction plans to launch pre-sales in October for Gyeyang Sindosi Kaiv Ubora, the first privately supplied apartment complex in the Gyeyang new town. As the first complex in the third-generation new town pre-sale lineup to be developed and built directly by a private construction company, it is expected to draw significant attention.
