A man dressed in women's clothing who entered a women's restroom while drunk has been arrested.

The Hwaseong Western Police Station in Gyeonggi Province arrested a man in his 60s, identified only as A, on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes — specifically, trespassing in a public place for sexual purposes. He is currently under investigation.

A is accused of entering a women's restroom in a building in Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong, while dressed in women's clothing at around 8:10 p.m. Monday and remaining inside for about five minutes.

A bystander who found the sight of a man in women's clothing heading into the women's restroom suspicious called police, leading to his arrest.

Investigators found no one else was inside the restroom at the time. No suspicious footage was found on A's phone, and he was not found to be carrying any illegal recording devices or other suspicious items.

A reportedly told police that he feels an urge to dress as a woman when drunk.
