Aston Martin announced Monday that its ultra-luxury high-performance SUV, the DBX, will appear as the vehicle of protagonist Harry da Souza in "Mobland Season 2," a Paramount+ original series.

Season 2 of Mobland premiered worldwide Friday, with the DBX serving as the car driven by Harry da Souza, played by Tom Hardy.

At the season 2 premiere held at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, the DBX joined the cast on the red carpet.

The crime drama centers on power struggles, shifting alliances and intense action. Aston Martin said the DBX, which combines elegance with powerful performance, complements the character of Harry da Souza in the show.

David Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios, said the car a character drives is an important element in setting the tone of a production. "The DBX blends raw performance with sophistication, and it fits perfectly with the story of Season 2," he said.

Finbar McFall, Aston Martin's global marketing director, said Mobland has quickly established itself as one of the most talked-about drama series in recent memory. "The DBX, with its commanding presence, performance and refinement, is the perfect vehicle for the character of Harry da Souza," he said.

The partnership between Aston Martin and Mobland extended beyond the screen. At the Formula 1 Pirelli Italian Grand Prix recently held in Monza, Italy, a DBX bearing the show's tagline "Chaos Reigns" performed a circuit demonstration run. Cast members Emmett J. Scanlan and Mandeep Dhillon also took part in a hot lap, experiencing the DBX's performance firsthand.

The DBX is Aston Martin's ultra-luxury high-performance SUV. The newly unveiled DBX S is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine — incorporating technology transferred from the Valhalla supercar — producing a maximum output of 727 horsepower. Aston Martin said it enhanced the model's dynamic driving feel and responsiveness through weight reduction and design improvements.
