Retailer to showcase Rejoice, Re:Earth campaigns at Korea Chamber of Commerce-hosted event
Lotte Department Store announced Monday it will participate in the Korea Social Value Festa, hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, marking the first time a department store has joined the event.
The event runs Monday through Tuesday at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Lotte Department Store will operate an experiential booth featuring content tied to its social contribution campaigns Rejoice and Re:Earth.
The Rejoice campaign, launched in 2017, promotes self-esteem and encourages people to pursue challenges. The exhibition zone will screen videos featuring the voices of counselors and program beneficiaries. Visitors will also receive a daily psychological prescription kit.
The Re:Earth campaign zone, running since 2021, will sell upcycled goods — five product types in all, including tote bags, card holders, pouches and chilling bags made from recycled banners and other discarded materials. All proceeds will be donated to a carbon neutrality school forest project. The first 2,000 visitors to complete an environmental quiz game will also receive a hands-on upcycled keyring-making experience.
"We will work to grow Lotte Department Store's Rejoice and Re:Earth into social contribution activities that represent Korea," said Lee Seong-hyeon, head of Lotte Department Store's communications division.
