Actor Choi Daniel turned heads Monday when he made a surprise appearance as a guest weather forecaster on JTBC.

Choi appeared as a special weather forecaster on JTBC's morning program "Achim&," which aired Monday.

"I play Gwangsu, a hair designer who pursues perfection, in the JTBC drama series 'Naraya Olla Ra Nabi' (Fly Up, Butterfly), which had its first broadcast last weekend," Choi said. "Today I have the special honor of greeting you as a weather forecaster. I will now deliver today's weather perfectly."

He then calmly delivered the forecast. "Skies will be mostly clear across the country today. The morning commute will feel a bit cool. Seoul is currently at 19 degrees Celsius and Daejeon at 16 degrees. Temperatures will rise significantly by afternoon, with highs expected between 24 and 30 degrees nationwide — Seoul and Gwangju reaching 30 degrees and Busan 28 degrees. The gap between daytime and nighttime temperatures will be wide for now, so it is a good idea to bring a jacket and keep an eye on how you dress."

Leaning into his character as hair designer Gwangsu, Choi added a playful touch. "The styling index for Monday is 90 points. Skies are mostly clear with almost no rain in the forecast, so the hairstyle you worked hard on this morning should hold up quite well throughout the day." The remark drew laughs.

"Naraya Olla Ra Nabi" (Fly Up, Butterfly), in which Choi stars, follows the colorful stories of customers, hair designers and interns at a hair salon that everyone visits at least once. The drama series airs every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
