Lineup spans fruit, seafood and health supplements
Lotte Mart said it will offer hand-carry gift sets through Friday, with supply up 25 percent from last year's chuseok.
Anticipating stronger demand for compact, lightweight hand-carry sets during the short holiday period, the retailer expanded its hand-carry apple and pear supply by 50 percent year-on-year and its hand-carry seaweed sets by about 20 percent.
In the fruit category, a mixed domestic and imported fruit set — 11 varieties totaling 3 kilograms — is priced at 49,900 won ($36), while a 30-piece Sangju dried persimmon set goes for 59,900 won. For nuts, an 80-pack daily mixed-nut set is available at 29,900 won, and a bottled assortment of 10 nut and dried-fruit varieties is priced at 39,900 won.
Salmon and seaweed are also available in hand-carry formats. A Patagonia fresh salmon gift set — featuring air-flown salmon paired with chipotle sauce and soy sauce — is priced at 39,900 won for L.Point members. CJ Bibigo's domestic seaweed No. 1 set and Dongwon's yangban sesame oil seaweed M26 set are each priced at 16,900 won.
Processed foods, everyday goods and health supplements round out the lineup. A three-pair Pierre Cardin diamond sock set is available at 6,230 won — a 30 percent discount for customers paying with a promotional card — while Cheong Kwan Jang's red ginseng tonic and its red ginseng immune stick are each discounted 25 percent with the same card.
