Incheon's urban rail network will extend its late-night service during the chuseok holiday.
Incheon Transit Corp. said Friday it will deploy a total of 12 special late-night trains — six per day — on metro lines 1 and 2 on Sept. 26 and 27.
By line, Incheon Metro Line 1 (Geomdan Lake Park to Songdo Dalbit Festival Park) will add two extra runs per day for a total of four, while Line 2 (Geomdan Oryu to Unyeon) will add four runs per day for a total of eight.
Seoul Metro Line 7, which also serves parts of Incheon, will operate its own set of special late-night trains under Seoul Metro's separate chuseok holiday extension plan.
To ensure smooth holiday transport, the corporation will operate a special transport operations center within its main control room from Sept. 24 through Sept. 27.
