Daegu Health University announced Thursday that Misodream Dental has pledged a development fund donation of 100 million won ($73,100), formalized at a ceremony held in a conference room on the 10th floor of the university's main building.
The ceremony was attended by Daegu Health University President Nam Sung-hee, Misodream Dental Director Hwang Sung-sik, and other officials from both institutions.
The university presented Hwang with a plaque of appreciation for his support of student education and university development, and introduced the donor nameplate affixed to the university's Hall of Honor.
Those present then visited the "Misodream Dental Practice Room" in the dental hygiene department, where a dedication plaque was unveiled to mark the spirit of the donation.
The university said it plans to use the funds for student scholarships, educational program operations, expansion of laboratory and practice equipment, research and academic activity support, and improvements to educational facilities and the campus environment.
"I hope this contribution helps current students build practical skills in a quality learning environment and grow into trusted healthcare professionals," Hwang said.
President Nam said the university would "do its utmost to nurture healthcare talent with both expertise and character, keeping this generous gesture close to heart."
