The University Job Plus Center at Keimyung Culture University ran a personal statement competition and company-specific final interview coaching program for third-year students at Daegu Smart High School from July through September, as part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's customized employment services for high school students, the university announced Thursday.

The program was structured as a step-by-step employment support curriculum to help students systematically prepare for actual hiring processes — covering personal statement writing instruction, drafting practice, individual feedback, a personal statement competition, and company-specific final interview coaching.

The final interview coaching sessions were held over multiple rounds for a total of 33 third-year Daegu Smart High School students preparing for final interviews at companies including MTS Corporation and Onsemi Korea.

The sessions focused on helping students craft responses to standard questions — including one-minute self-introductions, motivation for applying, and personal strengths and weaknesses — and trained them to draw on their own experiences when answering, sharpening their readiness for real interviews.

"We will continue to expand customized employment services that reflect real-world demand, so that local high school students can build practical job-seeking skills and go on to find successful employment," said Kim Jae-hyeon, director of the University Job Plus Center.
