The Dalseong-gun Council in Daegu held the 12th plenary session of its 329th regular session Thursday, concluding a 16-day legislative schedule.

The session passed 29 agenda items through the full assembly. Lawmakers approved the third supplementary budget for 2026 — which had sought a 69.2 billion won ($50.6 million) increase over the existing budget — after cutting 975 million won from the proposed amount.

A bill introduced by lawmaker Kim Eun-young to partially amend the Dalseong-gun parking lot installation and management ordinance was passed, designating dedicated patrol car spaces in on-street lots to improve police response times.

Lawmaker Shin Dong-yun introduced a bill to establish an ordinance supporting youth and newlywed couples in Dalseong-gun with interest payments on housing deposit loans.

Lawmaker Jeon Hong-bae introduced a bill to partially amend the ordinance on support for removing hazardous trees in residential areas of Dalseong-gun.

A bill introduced by lawmaker Yang Eun-suk to protect applicants from losses caused by local housing cooperative projects was also enacted. The ordinance was drawn up in response to growing financial burdens — including additional cost-sharing demands — placed on applicants as local housing cooperative projects in the district have dragged on.

Council Speaker Gwak Dong-hwan urged the county's executive bodies to actively implement the measures passed at the first regular session of the 10th Dalseong-gun Council. "I ask that the executive agencies push these forward proactively so that the items approved at this session can provide real, tangible benefits to residents' lives," he said.

The next session, the 330th extraordinary session, is scheduled to run for 14 days from Oct. 8 to Oct. 21.
