Russia and Ukraine continued striking each other Thursday despite repeated calls for a truce from US President Donald Trump.

Ukraine said it had launched fresh airstrikes on Russian oil facilities, while Russia hit Ukrainian factories and energy infrastructure.

On Monday, Trump said on his Truth Social platform that Russia and Ukraine had "agreed not to strike each other's energy targets," but attacks on both sides have shown no sign of stopping since.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X, formerly Twitter, that a joint operation by Ukraine's Security Service, Unmanned Systems Forces, Defense Intelligence and Foreign Intelligence Service had struck a Russian oil refinery in Yaroslavl overnight. He added that the Security Service had carried out a precision strike on Rostov military airfield, damaging one An-12 aircraft, two An-26s and three helicopters, and that there had also been successful strikes in the Black Sea.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Thursday morning that 18 people had been injured in the capital so far, adding that "the enemy continues to attack the capital."

City authorities said the wounded included a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy.

Russia's Ministry of National Defense said the same day that it had struck Ukrainian steel and metal plants, electronics factories, defense industry facilities, and energy and transportation infrastructure.

The Associated Press reported that Russia claimed to have attacked three bulk carriers and a ferry at the Black Sea port of Chornomorsk that were being loaded with supplies for Ukrainian forces.

Meanwhile, Ukraine said it had received the remains of 252 of its fallen soldiers from Russia that day.
