Mapo-gu District Mayor Yu Dong-gyun attended the 2026 community Chuseok celebration "One Family, One Chuseok" at Yeomni Community Welfare Center on Thursday morning, joining seniors and children in a holiday gathering ahead of the traditional autumn festival.
The event was organized to foster neighborly bonds and help residents enjoy a warmer Chuseok. Attendees took in special holiday performances and tried their hand at traditional games, filling the venue with laughter.
Yu greeted the seniors and children who came out for the occasion, watched them take part in traditional games and shared in the festive atmosphere. He also expressed gratitude to welfare center staff for their care in organizing the event for local residents.
"Seeing the bright smiles of the children alongside the warm faces of the seniors makes this Chuseok feel all the richer," Yu said. "I hope everyone enjoys a healthy and happy holiday sharing warmth with their neighbors."
