Gijang-gun will hold the 3rd Gijang Pet Culture Festival at Junggwan Central Park on Saturday. The festival aims to foster a culture of harmonious coexistence between pets and people, and to promote mutual understanding and consideration between pet owners and non-owners.

A highlight this year is the "With Pets Walking Contest," making its debut at the festival. The program invites participants to walk through the park with their dogs while completing various event missions, giving owners and their pets quality time together while learning proper walking etiquette.

A "Walking Class" will also be offered so that both pet owners and non-owners can walk safely and enjoyably. Participants can learn about pet etiquette and safe walking practices, and attend a behavior-correction lecture led by a professional instructor covering pet behavioral traits and how to handle them appropriately.

Alongside this, the festival will feature a range of hands-on programs — quiz events, health and grooming experiences, and a dog collar-making workshop. Competitive events such as "Daengsain Bolt" and an agility race, where dogs and their owners work in sync, will add to the fun, as will "K-Pet Got Talent," a showcase for pets' hidden abilities.
