400 households in Ulsan to receive holiday care packages

Korea East-West Power held a holiday gift handover ceremony Wednesday at the lobby of its headquarters in Jung-gu, Ulsan, to support vulnerable residents including grandparent-headed households and single-parent families in the region.

Staff members personally packed the "Chuseok Love Sharing Bundles," filling them with traditional holiday foods such as assorted jeon pancakes, bulgogi and japchae. The packages will be distributed to 400 households across five districts and counties in Ulsan through the Community Chest of Korea's Ulsan chapter.

The company has also been running a traditional market shopping campaign to support small business owners ahead of the chuseok holiday, starting at Taehwa Market on Sept. 9.

"As a public enterprise rooted in the region, Korea East-West Power will look after every corner of the community — reaching those who fall through the welfare safety net — and carry out social contribution activities that foster local coexistence," President Kwon Myung-ho said.
